Visiting the amazon it’s a journey not a day trip. The Amazon cannot be reduced to just one specific place, instead we chose to adapt ourselves to the richness of the region and propose a system that can me implemented throughout all the river.
Conceived as a network of preinstalled steel ropes each one of them work as “stations” –refuges- one journey distant from each other. Ropes are anchored to nearby tree trunks at both sides of the river. Tents are hanged and raised for sleeping or contemplation.
The Hang-And-See Tent, levitating above the river lets the traveller to enjoy the Amazon in a never-experienced-before manner, diminishing the risk of being attacked or bite achieving the best possible views, a unique experience.

Turística
Designing an observatory for the Amazonian Rainforest, our proposal is driven by the idea of developing a new principle of “sustainable tourism” rather than creating just an architectural object.
Our main focus for the design is to create a eco-friendly tour along a arranged path through the forest. Visitors will be introduced into a huge variety of Amazon’s flora and fauna and get in touch as close as possible with a minimum of physical impact.
The route leads the participants, beginning from the starting point, a Pier at the Amazon river to several checkpoints. Those checkpoints, called ‘cabana’ (portuguese, kind of a ‘gazebo’) provide information about the Amazon region. Through observation spots precious and rare animals can be observed. After a long way through wild forest resting points give shelter and protection for the typical heavy rain-showers, or easing the heat and humidity through air circulation. Visitors are getting educated in the cycle of the rainforest without disturbing the peaceful environment.
The goal was to design a self maintaining system, adaptable to different conditions and to be assembled by traditional crafting techniques. All crafted parts are sustainably prefabricated, modestly chosen from the local region, and gently assembled. Therefore visitors can experience traditional culture in a modern setting.
Despite the fact that each cabana provides different functions there are some major similarities which all have in common.
For material management regarding efficiency and sustainability the concept is following:
Levitated from the ground, to keep water and small mammals out, enable a improved circulation
The main construction are build with on sight material - which determines there shape and size
Artichoke- like tiling protects against rain and sun
The facade tiles and the floor finish are woven basket-structures based on the local crafting method of the indigenous community, these structure are durable and easy to substitute.
In case of legacy the structures won’t influence the nature negatively but will be overcome by the vegetation and be transferred into the natural cycle.

First when I set up an observatory in an environment like the Amazon, I realized that the term 'note' would fall short of that location. Therefore, NOA SEAL is not a simple observatory. NOA SEAL is a laboratory, where not only seen, but also discover, study and experience the outdoors. The building will be a reconnaissance pod. It is a tool, and therefore, will not be the last end of the project; but a means, a machine.
After studying in depth the Amazon region, only by its immensity, it is impossible to choose the exact coordinates where it should locate an observatory. Therefore, NOA is a capsule that is not determined by a particular location, but by many. It generated with flexible and lightweight materials the location of the capsule by the user, which can change according to the needs of the study or observation will be chosen.
NOA SEAL LAB consist of two differentiated materials and methodology parts when building . The construction process allows us to reach remote areas while instantly on the spot.
One intent of this project is to get each of the ecosystems of the Amazon is not altered by the presence of an architecture on the floor. Through the creation of the posts we get a privileged view of nature, not only because of the height, but because wildlife can continue to develop our feet. In aquatic situation allows us to get into the same watercourse. The situation of the prairie gives us a great view of the plain. And the situation of the forest gives us a relationship with trees and nature much closer.
ARQUIDEAS PRIZE
Can you imagine the best way to become a part of a wildlife? What about pursuing the spirit of the Amazon rainforest by climbing the suspended trail, cutting through the undiscovered nooks of the wildness. The spatial path walk, interweaving with the enormous trees, provides intimate access to all the levels of the giant forest, commonly unreachable and unknowable. With each loop, a different layer of the jungle is discovered, unveiling another outlook at the surrounding. In the end, the journey rewards the explorer with a terrace, providing a viewpoint overlooking the river’s skyline.

The proposal Amazonian worldview which sees the world not as a whole unit rather posits the existence of multiple parallel worlds, each with its own topography, inhabitants and appropriates laws; the harmony of the universe depends on the balance between these worlds and their beings espirituales.Esto means there invisible worlds, with their own characteristics and life in them each one.
The observatory explores these invisible worlds to experience each of these invisible worlds Jene Nete the world of waters inhabited by his guardian spirit, the earthly world, Non Nete, the yellow world, Panshin Nete of birds; and wonderful place where the Sun and stars, Jakon Nete.
The observatory is mimicked in the midst of nature and shaped by a system of modular towers sporadic tours through the Amazon jungle, materializing space on several levels, experience of Amazon magic and its many unseen worlds each with its own species of animals plants and flowers; smells, feelings, perceptions and tastes that are part of this journey to the unseen world of the Amazon.
On the lower level a crystal sphere plunges us into the world of Jakon nete and his guardian spirit, Non nete materializes through pedestrian routes with stations and water carriers sailing the Amazon River to discover the diversity of the site, the trip continues on the conveyor which rises several meters height to make visible Pashin Nete with monkeys, birds, sloths, tigers, and all beauty of the spirit world also called yellow. Experience climaxes at the top of the tower which allows us to see through a swivel the whole mystery of the jungle and the spirit of Jakon Nete, ramp sun, and stars.
