spanish interiors atelier estudiHac has designed a cheese bar for barcelona’s meliá sarriá hotel. totaling 400 square meters, the restaurant fills the building’s ground floor, serving as a vibrant meeting point for culinary enthusiasts. externally, an imposing façade – constructed from a framework of wooden pieces – forms shapes of various sizes, with the distinctive patterning continued internally.

upon entering the bar, visitors are greeted with a lounge offering comfortable seating and displaying a rug designed exclusively for the project. at the heart of the primary volume a vertical garden conveys a sense of freshness, while an adjacent area with a large communal table forms a private, yet inviting, space. throughout the scheme, natural materials such as marble, oak and copper complement textiles presented in a variety of textures and colors.
