Perched on a steep Seattle hillside, this home for a family of five immediately presents a sense of prospect and shelter as it takes advantage of dramatic Lake Washington and Cascade mountain views. Exploring the simplicity of form while accommodating the requisite functions, and achieving a balance between traditional and contemporary architecture within a tight budget, led to this design composition of simple elegance.

심플하지만 강한. 겸손하지만 현대적인. 가파른 시애틀 언덕에 자리 잡고, 5인 가족의 이 주택은 극적인 레이크 워싱턴과 캐스케이드 산의 경관을 활용으로 전망 및 쉼터의 감각을 제공한다. 필요한 기능을 수용하고, 타이트한 예산 범위 내에서 전통과 현대 건축 사이의 균형을 달성하면서 형태의 단순함을 탐색, 간단한 우아함이 디자인 구성되었다.
